D. If I went back my young age

If I went back my young age, I'd be a more brave person than the reality. It is not easy to think of 3 wishes. I want to write one of my wishes.

There was a lot of rain in my New Zealand life. It made me think of my young age. one day, my home stay mam gave a gift. It was a CD that there were Maori songs. The one of songs starts like this "Pokarecare ana". This is about waiting song for husband who went to the sea to fish in the rain. It was a beautiful song that I sang the song many times when I was in university with my girlfriend. She and I were freshmen and we met at the summer conference. We learnt this song at that time. We liked singing a song by duet and we participated in university campus festival and events.

Whenever it rained she called me "What are you doing now? How about walking in the rain?" She often walked without an umbrella so she sometimes caught a cold. It was crazy but I couldn't reject it. one day she told me her parents ask her marriage strongly and that they wanted rich person. It was before graduation day, when I was poor and 3 years’ military duty was waiting for me. I couldn't say anything. I was not brave. She got married with the rich person but our friendship continued.

One day I heard big news about a big department collapse and she was in there. It was 20 years ago in an accident in Korea. She passed away. I almost forgot about her but the Maori song and a lot of rain in New Zealand made me remember long time ago my story.

If I went back to my young age, I'd be more braver than then.
